2 Jutsu: [Action] Nagato Uzumaki: College History Professor

August 2nd, 5th, and 6th
[Nagato Uzumaki is a professor who has all his classes in the mornings. Well, except for his Tuesday lecture hall, which is promptly at 5pm every week. Every other day, his classes end no later than two o'clock, and he stays for another hour after to be completely sure that if any of his students with questions, and he teaches history, so he wants those questions, will be able to find him to get answers.

He might, perhaps, bend the rules a little for students who really want to learn, pretending that he doesn't know that they didn't have tuition for a class, for instance, but he's very careful to play up the idea that no, really, he simply never noticed that they weren't supposed to be there. He doesn't take roll, after all, why would he notice?

In any case, this is his normal routine, with his weekends being free to spend with his family, most especially his wife and teenage daughter.

Unfortunately, this particular Friday saw him trapped in a staff meeting instead of going home. Excellent.

At least he could call a few people before then to let them know about the weekend plans while they waited for everyone to show up.]

August 3rd
[The weekend meant freedom! It also meant that the little get together that he and Kushina had been talking about for the last week might yet become reality! He just... needed to try and let everyone else know the time. Which meant Saturday, but hey, there was nothing wrong with him going and visiting family anyway, and if he was inviting them to his house for a Saturday BBQ? Well, that just meant that he was multitasking.

He just really, really had to make sure that someone who knew how to work the grill showed up, that was all.]

August 4th
[Nagato had a bit of a religious bent, so you'll miss him early Sunday, but he'll definitely be around the rest of the day since both his daughter and wife will be off doing school stuff later that evening and he'll be more than free.]

(ooc note: Any family members who want him to come to them instead of vise versa are welcome to say he appeared on your doorstep Saturday morning/afternoon! Also, he will be inviting ALL his in-laws. Looking at you Hyuugas, though your invites will likely be through Barnaby. There will be a separate log post put up for the Party itself, this is just all the invites and other assorted things Nagato is involved in.

Revenge of the edit: I forgot the dance ahaha oops. So I moved the BBQ to Saturday.)

[He wilted, just a bit, and tilted his head into her hand to almost nuzzle her fingers.]

Maybe I just wanted to make you lunches.

[Konan sees that look and feels a little bad. She leans up and gives him a light kiss.]

Well, I won't stop you if you want to, Nagato. But you are working full time, and I have all of this time off.

Well, I happen to love you, so if I can't do anything else to show you how much because I'm so busy, I can at least do that, right?

[He lifted his hand and ran the backs of his fingers down her cheek.] Timing is so unfair sometimes.

Or you could use the time you were going to spend preparing my lunch massaging my shoulders instead.

[It's her roundabout way of asking for a shoulder rub. The extra weight she's carrying around occasionally hurts her back. Especially since some of it went to her chest rather than only her stomach.]

That's an option, too.

....That is a perfectly wonderful option I would be more than happy to do, yes.

[He kissed her temple.] In fact, I could probably do that right now.

[She wraps her arms around him and rests her head on his shoulder for the moment, just enjoying the comfort of having him back home here with her. Some couples became complacent and took each other for granted over time. That had never been a problem with their marriage.]

Are you sure you wouldn't prefer to wait until after you've had dinner?

That would depend on if you're almost finished. If you're not, then it can wait. After all, you're more important. I also don't want to have wasted your work though.

[He tightened his arms on her, his fingers petting her back lightly in a gentle motion along her spine.]

The meal I prepared is something that's meant to be prepared slowly anyhow. It won't hurt to delay dinner by ten more minutes.

[Which is just as well, because as he begins gently massaging along her spine, her will to enforce a standard dinner time is rapidly melting away. That feels nice.]

[He doesn't even try to hide his smile at her reaction, moving his other hand to join the first, slowly kneading it down from near her neck.]

Of course. I'm glad that it's convenient for you then. [The words were a soft murmur as he kissed her temple.]

At this point, anything short of smoke coming from the kitchen would be convenient for me.

[She can feel herself relaxing in his arms and it's just as well that her head is already resting against his shoulder because at this point, she'd be fighting to keep it up. Her eyes shut peacefully as he kneads into her muscles.]

[That prompted a low, pleased laugh from him, and he kissed her again, carefully working over her back and keeping an eye that she didn't fall asleep and start tipping.]

Then I'll have to be sure to watch for smoke. Just in case.

[She has to remind herself to stay awake, and thinks of something she's cautiously been avoiding, not wanting to jinx her pregnancy.]

...I've thought of ideas for the baby's name. I like the name Yahiko for a boy, and Hana for a girl.

[She's inexplicably fond of the name Yahiko, and Hana is just a pretty name, especially to one as fond of flowers as Konan is.]

What do you think?

[His hands paused, and he tried to examine the odd fondness and sadness the name Yahiko inspired... especially given that his instinctive reaction was to want the name. But nothing came to mind. He'd known no Yahiko.]

I think that those are wonderful names Konan. I especially like the one for a boy.

[Her attachment to the name is inexplicable, but everything about the name Yahiko says that this is a name of someone who will grow up to do great things. There's a bittersweetness, as there's also sorrow attached to the name. Konan has to wonder if it was the name of a character she'd liked in a book as a child but since forgotten. That must be it. Names don't just pop into people's heads.]

I'm glad you agree. According to Naruto, Kushina has been thinking of ideas for our child's name and she liked the name Menma for a boy, but I'm rather stuck on Yahiko. I think it sounds good with Uzumaki. So does Hana.

[It must have been something they read together. Maybe something from Jiraiya's arts club? That was a possibility.]

Perfect. Yahiko Uzumaki, Hana Uzumaki... Yes, I think those would do very nicely. If we manage twins... then we'll think about looking at Kushina's choices mm?

Perhaps. We can hear her out and consider them, at least. Just as long as she doesn't suggest the names Tobi or Madara.

[She can't explain the sheer level of hate those names inspire for her, but they are amongst the last names she would ever name a child. Or even a goldfish, for that matter.]

[He wrinkled up his nose at once, hugging her close.]

I would have to talk to her about names that work with the name 'Uzumaki' if she tried either of those.

Neither of them are appealing at all...and Menma sounds a little odd with Uzumaki.

[She doesn't hate it the way she hates the other two names, but she really doesn't like it.]

I have to agree. But, there's no need to worry too hard about it mm? I'm sure we can come up with better names... though I'll freely admit that I'm having trouble coming up with any myself. Mostly... not-names actually.
